Why should someone who doesn’t know you listen to your music and not someone else’s?
Because I have a Magic sound. And after 35 years spinning I have the knowledge to understand how to rock the crowd on the dance floor. I’m concerned party mines fun and good time, plus I was 20 years resident dj in many different clubs, I have learned to play music to touch people's heart, I’m not play for myself, for my professional work I want make sure everyone love that moment for me is the most important part of my work.
After my set I get a lot of great feedback that makes me feel so happy and proud.
How do you feel when you’re DJing?
The beginning I’m always studying and testing the sound system. I always make sure it's clear and cozy.
After I would bring on a special groove to get all the crowd crazy that it’s my strategy.
Your favorite musicians and songs?
For sure I have a lot of my favorites and they are all my good friends. Sometimes I try to not focus on other artists and other producers, to be different and not so much commercial.
These days there are a lot of great new talents making a lot of nice beautiful music.
Also everyone knows the biggest hits and the biggest artist, on every set I’m always open to create my own idea and try to don’t be so repetitive.
I never ever in my life have prepared my dj set, my ears and my heart give me that vibe to be created every time a new magic moment.
With the big technological change happening around us. How do you see the future of the event industry?
More forward we going and there is a better way to share programs and samples and ideas of course, now the new technology and programs like ableton and Logic audio they have a lot of nice synths and plug in, they are accessible for everyone to learn easy and create music, I see a lot of good new Producers and I’m super happy how big is growing the industrial of djs of house music, I really hope all the best with my heart to everyone is trying this adventure it’s really not easy but keep going guy’s stay on that frequency of music is a beautiful hobby.
What do you think is the connection between Ibiza and Tulum?
Well I was here from the beginning, everything was starting 13 years ago, and I came here every season in January, and I stayed one or two months.
Really the true is the people have bring this vibe to this area was definitely the BPM, festival with big respect to (Phil, Alessandra, Craig, Ralf, Maximilian), they really have create this connection Ibiza and what we are now, i believe was everything starting the beginning in Playa del Carmen, but after the festival everyone was moving to Tulum and here was absolutely nothing and we was making the begging party with Solomun and many more good artist’s and no one place in Tulum had that vibe.
The BPM did a lot of good for this area and such shame for everything that happened. I hope this country understands how helpful it was.
This place grew so fast how many families had a good opportunity to have what they have now, if it was not for them it would be very different.
I came here for the BPM festival, if it was not for them I would never know this place.
Do you have a new project here in Tulum?
Yes I do start to create some new magical venues. Here in Tulum there are a lot of very good artists. I'm very happy and proud to know them and be here. I’m helping all my friends to realize their dream. Here are my new venues. I’m resident in the festival Aluna. Every Friday I play at Art Beach. Saturday I play at Brasa and Luhme. Sometimes Totem.
Income gigs. Saykuk, Zamna festival, IT tulum, Ahau beach, Summeridian parties, and I hope many more.
Everyone now is trying to save the planet, are you an activist too?
I have the best best best formula to save the planet. This is my suggestion to everyone!
People should stop cleaning from the bottom… We need to start cleaning from the top (Only Solution).
Last question, are you night or day?
I’m shine throw the day and night I’m like full moon 24/7.

In the global panorama of summer clubbing, two destinations stand out for their rich and fascinating history: Riccione and Ibiza. Although they have different origins and characteristics, both have left an indelible mark on the culture of nightlife. Ibiza has seen the emergence of the alternative culture brought by hippies who chose it already in the 1960s as one of their destinations, when the Franco dictatorship was still standing. This created the conditions for the development of clubbing as we know it today. Its privileged geographical position, Mediterranean climate and open open mi...

What has been the most significant moment in your musical career so far? “The most significant moment in my career was when I discovered that my music was not only appreciated by me but also by others. I have always created music for personal pleasure and to explore sound technologies. The realization that other people appreciated my work was a great satisfaction and gave a deeper meaning to what I was doing, pushing me to publish some of the tracks I produce.2. Name?Riccardo Monfardini, known as Almared. Where are you from?I am from Sydney, Australia, where I have lived for 11 years. How would you define your musical style?I don't like to define myself with a precise musical genre because every time I'm in the studio, the final product is always different. I mainly produce Afro house, Afro tech, and melodic house and techno because they reflect the sounds I am most attracted to. However, I believe it's wrong for a producer to impose genre limits and that it's better to let the music flow into what resonates with their style....
Let's dedicate this episode of Night&Day to our dear friend DJ who passed away prematurely in 2021, Roberto Pezzetti aka Jackmaster Pez, the DJ who contributed to bringing night clubbing to Milan in the late '80s. We know that today angels and demons are dancing to his analog-mixed tracks, something that digital streaming can never match. Jack, originally from Novara, is considered an icon of house music. After making his debut in the late '70s with disco music, in the following decade, along with other protagonists of this musical genre, he managed to 'import' clu...
